About the Experience

As you arrive, you’ll be greeted by a picnic set-up at our chosen local outdoor environment or indoor studio (depending upon the event style).

Once everyone has arrived and is enjoying their alcohol-free beverage and snacks, we will circle up and I will walk us through a group moment to get to know everyone. When we’ve amply laughed and celebrated each other, I usually lead us through a final mindful moment to bring us back into our bodies and lead you back to WHY you booked the shoot in the first place, and then we get started on each 15 minute mini shoot!

While you are waiting for your turn, you are welcome to explore the area we are set up, enjoy nature, rest, walk, talk with other business owners, take BTS video, read, color, and more.

What can I use these photos for?

Marketing is storytelling, and your face, energy, expressions and presence all tell a story about who you are and how you can help others in your business.

Past mini shoot clients have used their mini shoot photos for social media (graphics, profile photos, storytelling, deliverables, PDFs and more) as well as for updating their website. You can also use your photos for business cards and printed marketing materials.

Ultimately, these portraits are not just pictures; they are powerful tools for self-expression, empowerment and personal branding. Whether you're an entrepreneur, a professional, or a woman who has recently been through a transformative season, this is a beautiful opportunity to deepen your relationship with self, enjoy a beautiful natural setting, get creative, and connect with other women!

How do I know which one to book and what to bring?

This all depends upon what environment would best support the stage you are at in life and business. In addition, consider the energy you want to convey in your photos — is it flowy, artistic, beachy, fairy-like, etc.? What archetypes and vibes do you want to give off?

In terms of props, first of all - YOUR PRESENCE IS THE PROP. The more comfortable you can become in front of the camera, the more you will love your photos, I promise. You are welcome to bring props that support modalities you use in your business, or get creative and bring something that represents metaphors you use in your content a lot!

You are welcome to join REGARDLESS of what industry you are in — but please be aware that these outdoor environments provide a certain type of “look,” and in addition, you may become sweaty. If this is concerning to you, you are welcome to look out for an indoor group shoot experience in the future, or book a custom 1-1 shoot where you can book a studio.

FAQS

  • Are there restrooms at the beach and at the farm? Yes! The beach has public restrooms and the farm has an outdoor composting toilet with hand sanitizer.

  • How many outfits can I include? One, but I recommend bringing a second change just in case.

  • Do you provide editing? I provide simple color correction, but no skin retouching whatsoever.

  • Do I have to be there the whole time? You are requested to arrive at 3pm and stay for the whole experience, as this is a shared group event and meant to be a social activity as well.

  • Will you provide refunds? Refunds will be provided for weather-related cancellations only. Refunds will not be provided if you forget about the event and don’t show up, or have a last minute schedule change. In addition, no future work will be promised in the event that you cannot make your chosen date and time (aka tickets are non-transferrable). When you purchase a ticket you acknowledge these terms. As of mid-Feb, I am arranging for potential rain dates for all three group sessions and will provide updates if and when these are arranged.
